Yessotoxins (YTXs) are a group of sulphated polyether compounds produced by various dinoflagellate algae including Protoceratium reticulatum, Lingulodinium polyedrum and Gonyaulax spinifera [1]. The maximum allowable levels of certain YTXs in shellfish for human consumption is regulated by the European Union [2]. 1-Homoyessotoxin (hYTX) is a regulated analogue that was first identified in shellfish from the Adriatic Sea [3]. CRM-hYTX-b is a certified calibration solution of hYTX in methanol. It is designed as an instrument calibration solution to aid in the identification and quantitation of hYTX.
